Nowcasting was one of the first meteorological forecasting techniques and is used for rainfall, fog, snow showers, and other meteorological features.
In addition to nowcasting techniques, Numerical Weather Prediction models are another key tool in meteorological forecasting.
Meteorological forecasters typically use these types of informa- tion to assess confidence in the model outputs and to help with producing forecasts.
